Some Time back travelling in India, I was astonished to find a vintage Buick in absolutely pristine condition. I had not seen these cars back at home and was wondering how the car managed to land up so far away from home.
On questioning the owner, I was astounded to hear that he had a collection of more than 50 cars. He told me that he had a trusted friend in the US who also happened to be a dealer in salvage cars for sale. Every time he spotted a salvage car which he thought could be refurbished, he would inform his Indian friend, who would ask him to buy it immediately.
The salvage car dealer would ship him whatever parts and accessories he found. This relationship had been going strong for years, which accounted for this huge collection of beauties.
It only helped matters that the Indian just so happened to be an ex King. Money was certainly not a problem for him!
